The WAKFU novels are a series of short illustrated novels written by Christophe Lambert. Their story takes place during season 1, like the Wakfu comics, and are meant to feel like an episode in a narrated format. Illustrations created by the animation team in the style of the cartoon are inserted among the text, helping this immersion by simulating screenshots from the show.
The starting point of the series is the Brotherhood being attacked by a clan of Rogues aboard an airship, who manage to get away with each member of the brotherhood's most cherished item - Ruel's Haven Bag, Evangelyne's bow, etc. In the subsequent issues, the group will do everything they can to catch up with the Rogues and retrieve their possessions.
